Timothy and I were neighbors, along with Vic Pusey, on the top floor of a Salisbury home. Each of the three apartments were entered from a common landing at the top of the stairs. Our doors were often open and the smell of cookies sometimes brought company to my kitchen. Years passed and
each of us moved to different homes. We enjoyed many inspirational conversations and I remain awed by Tim's remarkable talent. We had not talked for about a year and I last saw him as the Short Funeral Home removed his body from his Salisbury home. May the spirit of the Lord comfort each of you. I know Tim now rests in His arms.

Christos Voskrese! My condolences to the Loya family. I grew up with some of the Loya's and was an alter boy at St. Peter & Paul in Duquesne at a time when "Timmy" was just a toddler running around the sidewalk by the rectory. In recent years, I've had occasional contact with Gene (Eugene) and his wife Nikki and hold all the Loya's in my fondest memory. May the Risen Christ bless and keep His servant Timothy, now and ever. Voistinnu Voskrese!

Timothy's apostolic work as an iconographer will always render his memory eternal. I was pastor at Saint Nicholas of Myra Church, White Plains, New York, when he was commissioned to do all the iconography in the new church. The resultant icons I consider to be some of the most inspirational to be found in any Byzantine church, Catholic or Orthodox, in this country. Parishioners were and are truly proud of his work. May his memory be eternal!

I wish to express to all the Loya family and Timmy's other friends my deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences at Timmy's passing. The news came to me as a terrible surprise and shock this past week. While I have not been in touch with him over the recent past years, he has always been in my prayers and remembrances in the Divine Liturgy. He and the affectionate memory I have of him will continue to be there. May the Good Lord grant to all of you His blessed comfort and consolations in this time of grief and loss, and may He grant +Michael Timothy Loya a blessed repose and render eternal his memory!
