Victor Paul Kordella, age 87 of Smock passed away on Tuesday evening, December 18, 2018 in St. Clair Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born in Hibbs, PA on March 27, 1931 a son of the late Stanley and Anna Antonisen Kordella.
Vic retired from the United States Postal Service. He proudly served his country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. Vic loved gardening, hunting, fishing, boating and most of all spending time with his family.
Vic is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dolores Sabatini Kordella; son, Robert J. Kordella and his wife Lindsey of Mt. Lebanon; daughter, Sherri Shanahan and her husband Michael of Castle Shannon; grandchildren: Kelsey Giotta and her husband Dennis of Massillon, OH, Kara Wockley and her husband Ryan of Oakdale, PA, and Michael Shanahan of Castle Shannon, along with many nieces and nephews.
Vic’s family will receive friends from 3-7 P.M. on Friday, December 21, 2018 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA. Prayers of Transfer will be held Saturday at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, PA with Father Alvin Cabungcal, Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Smock, PA.
The Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 3:30 P.M. on Friday.
