Stanley Scott Burkholder

Stanley Scott Burkholder, age 60 of Perryopolis passed away accidentally, the result of an automobile accident on Monday, March 4, 2019. He was born in Charleroi, PA on September 15, 1958 a son of the late Stanley Richard Burkholder and Eleanor Lasko Burkholder.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his children: Ashley Sumey and her husband John of Connellsville, Matthew Burkholder and his fiancée Jody of  Vanderbilt, Shane Burkholder of Connellsville and Jacob Burkholder of Somerset; grandchildren: Nolan, Braylee, Hunter, Arianna, Jonathon and Aunica; sisters: Michelle Friguglietti and her husband Domenic of Connellsville, Amy Bauer and husband Ray of Pittsburgh; brothers: Tracy Burkholder of Connellsville, Tim Burkholder and his wife Sandi of Wisconsin.

Scott enjoyed football, baseball and was an avid reader. He was always available to help others with addiction problems. He was very spiritual.

Scott’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2019 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis where his funeral service will take place at 8 p.m. Interment will be private.
