Russell "Scott" Lytle

Russell “Scott” Lytle, 54, of Dunbar Township, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025, at his mother’s home after a short battle of pancreatic cancer.  He was born August 18, 1971 in Somerset Hospital, a son of Donna Kay (Peck) Lytle, and the late Theodore (Ted) Russell Lytle. 

Scott is survived by his amazing mother, Donna Kay (Peck) Lytle; his sister, Jennifer Pravlik and her husband Charles; and his nephews, Charles and Franklin.  He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was especially close with his Aunt Mary Jean “MJ” Krajacic and husband Darwin, his coworker Marco Fornili, and Bruce, his cat!

Scott is known for his amazing sense of humor, his love for movies and music, and nothing got in the way of him watching his favorite sports.  He had earned a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in Multimedia Technology from California University of PA.  He worked in many different environments and everywhere he worked he was known to make the job enjoyable through his sense of humor.

Scott proudly served he country in the U. S. Marines actively from 1989 to 1992.

Family and friends will be received at the Blair Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA 15473 from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, September15, 2025.  Funeral Service will be held at 1 0 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16 with Pastor Alan Petke officiating.  Scott will be buried on Wednesday, September 17th at 2:30 p.m. with full military honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
