Roger William Arison, 74 of Perryopolis, PA passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023 at his home with his loving family by his side, He was born on March 1, 1949 in Connellsville, the son of the late Kenenth and Mildred Gilleland Arison.
Roger is survived by his longtime partner of 18 years, Barbara Leichliter of Perryopolis; daughter, Tara Moore and her husband Jonathan of West Deer; sons: Bobby Arison and his wife Marijo of Perryopolis, Richard Arison and his wife Joanne of Bremerton, WA; grandchildren: Casey, Anthony, Kaitlyn, Colton, Jocelyn, Connor; great grandchildren: Kylie and Emma; sister, Jane Bainbridge of Monongahela.
Roger was a disabled Army Vietnam Veteran of the 2nd Squadron 4th Calvary based in Germany. He was retired from U S Steel and Linden Hall Golf Course. He was a member of the Sons of Italy, Moose, V.F.W., American Legion, Sokols, Perry Twp V.F.C., Coal Hill Football Club, Star Junction Fish & Game. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going to Steeler games, lounging on the beach and golfing.
Roger’s family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa where his funeral service will take place at 8 p.m. followed by Full Military Rites and Honors being accorded by the Goldstar V. F. W. Post 7023 of Perryopolis.
