Michael "Lefty" Zelesnik

Michael “Lefty” Zelesnik, age 85 of Perryopolis passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. He was born in Allegheny County on August 23, 1938 a son of Michael Zelesnik and Margaret Davis Fields.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Joyce Brewer Zelesnik; son, Ronald.

Lefty was a lifetime, avid motorcycle rider and deer hunter. He never met a stranger and would offer to help anyone.

He is survived by four children: Michele Zelesnik of West Newton, Michael F. Zelesnik and his wife, Laurie of Wickhaven, Marilyn Mathewson and her husband Paul Sr. of Shelby, OH, Cindy Flocker of Flatwoods; grandchildren: Danielle Smith, Matthew Zelesnik, Zackary Zelesnik, Jacob Zelesnik, Nicholas Zelesnik, Charles Mathewson, Paul Mathewson, Sarah Mathewson, Katie Flocker, Krystal Flocker, Herbie Flocker, Cody Flocker; 13 great grandchildren; sister: Shelva Clark and her husband, Dennis Chaw; brother, Sam Bach and his wife, Ilene; son in law, Herb Flocker.

Lefty’s family will receive friends from 6- 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Blair Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA where his funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday with Rev. Paul Mathewson, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA.
