May (Fisher) Knight Torrance, age 87 of Ruffsdale, formerly of Dawson passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018. She was born December 14th 1930 in Jeannette PA a daughter of John and Edna Mae Fisher.
In addition to her parents May was preceded in death by her husband Henry (Tucker) Knight and brothers John, Charles, Edward, Duane and Calvin.
May enjoyed reading her Bible and attended church faithfully. She was a member of the Perryopolis Baptist Church.
May is survived by her husband Kenneth Torrance of Ruffsdale; daughters, Donna Warren (Roger) of Manchester, MD and Mary Ann Shank (Jerry) of Westminister, MD; son Thomas Knight (Kathy) of Dawson; brothers Harry Fisher (Dolores) and Russell Fisher (Carol) both of Dawson; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
May’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home. 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA. where additional visitation will take place on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m., the hour of her funeral service with Pastor, David Patrick officiating. Interment will follow in Bowman Flatwoods Cemetery.
