Maria "Mimi" (Scapes) Miller

Maria “Mimi” Miller, age 81of Perryopolis, Pa passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, Pa surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 23, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pa where she later attended Carrick High School. She was preceded in death by her parents: Archangel and  Lenora Scapes; sisters: Josephine Wallace and Kathy Gallick. Mimi worked for many years at Hills Department Store and the pro shop at Linden Hall. If you were lucky enough to see her there or elsewhere, you knew her laugh, smile and wave could brighten your day. She loved to bake and brought extra joy to the holidays with all her special treats. Mimi loved all the animals in her life as well as supporting rescues and other organizations. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones.
Those left to honor Mimi’s memory are her son, Brian (Carly) Miller; daughter, Melanie (Tim) Lash; grandchildren: Zachary (Maria) Lash, Andrea Lash, Nicole, Gwenna and Gabriel Miller; great granddaughters: Vanessa and Rosie Lash; brother, Arch (Dawn) Scapes.
In honoring Mimi’s wishes, her funeral arrangements are private and have been entrusted to the Blair Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Perryopolis, PA.
