Larry Wayne Mikesell

Larry Wayne Mikesell, 77 of Perryopolis passed away on August 12, 2024.  He was born on September 18, 1946 in Latrobe Pa. a son of Albert M. and Helen V Thomas Mikesell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judith Semplak; brother, Thomas Mikesell; niece, Wanda Longo; step mother, Patricia Mikesell.

Larry was a graduate of Pitt and Penn State. He was a teacher for Frazier School District for 38 years where he served as a basketball coach for 33 years and golf coach for 30 plus years.   

Larry is survived by his stepsister, Sherry Humbertson; niece, Connie (Rodger) Cornett; nephew in law, Randy Longo; great nieces and nephews: Shelby L. (Colin), August (Genesis) Longo, Shannon Cornett, Christopher Cornett; great-great niece and nephews: Violet Van Amerongen, Jacob Cornett, Alexander Van Amerongen.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Perryopolis, Pa.
