Judith (Mellinger) Stewart

Judith Stewart, age 98 of Flatwoods passed away on February 11, 2024 at Lafayette Manor, Uniontown, PA with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 18, 1925, a daughter of Theodore and Catherine Wilkes Mellinger.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jesse Howser; second husband, Les Stewart; daughter, Renie Howser Homer; son, Vaughn Howser; brothers: Gary Mellinger, Don Mellinger; sister, Dolores Keffer.

Judy is survived by her son, Scott Howser and his wife, Cindy of Perryopolis; grandchildren: Mayme Scragg  and her husband, John of Flatwoods, Matthew Howser and his wife, Marla of Morris Hollow, Malissa Hughes and her husband, Michael of Uniontown, Cecia Tringes and her husband Donny of Waltersburg, Jesse Howser and his wife, Jamie of Belle Vernon, Chelsea Clark and her husband Nick of Wyno, Levi Howser of Brooklynn NY;  also great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Judy’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Blair Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA where her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Interment will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA.
