John Michael Zayakosky

John M. Zayakosky, 89, entered into eternal rest on  April 14, 2018 in his home in Perryopolis, PA.  He was born on July 24, 1928 in Perryopolis, PA. He was a son of the late Mike and Julia Zayakosky.

He was preceded in death by his four brothers and a sister.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ruby Willett Zayakosky, son Michael Zayakosky and his wife Joyce of Bear DE; daughter, Rebecca Madorma and her husband Barry of Perryopolis, PA; four grandchildren, Jason Zayakosky, Kelly Mills, Brandon Madorma and Ashley Ellis;  six great-grandchildren.

John’s family will receive friends to pay tribute to his life on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 4-8 pm in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA. Parastas will be celebrated at 7 p.m.

On Thursday, April 19, 2018 John will be transferred to the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Perryopolis where at 10 am a Divine Liturgy of the Deceased will celebrated by Rev. Oleh Seremchuck.
