Ellis Dale Bloom

Ellis Dale Bloom, age 72 of California, PA formerly of Layton passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born on November 24, 1946, a son of Arthur and Elizabeth Bloom.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Diane Keffer Bloom; brothers: Arthur, James, Wilbur and Charles.

He proudly served his country as a combat engineer in Vietnam with the United States Army.

Ellis is survived by his children: daughter, Ellisa Bloom Hammond and her husband Michael of Layton, son, Charles L. Bloom of New Jersey; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Gathering will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Sampey Park in Perryopolis.

Ellis’ profession funeral services have been entrusted to the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, Perryopolis, PA.
