Ellen Arison Obituary

Ellen Margaret Wallace Arison, age 96 of Vanderbilt (formerly of Bridgeville, PA) passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 25, 1930 in Latrobe, a daughter of Joseph Zeno and Leona Bendle Wallace.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ralph Duane Arison; brothers: Joseph, James, Michael, Father Maurus, OSB..

She is survived by her sons: Ralph Thomas Arison and his wife Clare of Flatwoods, David Scott Arison and his wife Kelli of Bridgeville, PA; three grandchildren that she adored: Madison, Caroline (fiancé Hunter Tilton) and Luke; great grandson, Ethan; brother, Edward Wallace of Dunbar; numerous nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.

Ellen’s family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA. Additional visitation will be held on Monday from 10-11 a.m., the hour of Ellen’s funeral service at the East Liberty Presbyterian Church, Vanderbilt, PA with Rev. David McElroy, officiating. Interment to follow in Bowman Flatwoods Cemetery.
