Edward Charles Wuenstel, age, 80 of Hays, formerly of Elliott, PA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at is home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Pittsburgh on August 3, 1937, a son of late Edward J. and Anna K. Mohapp Wuenstel.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Mary Ann Herr Wuenstel; daughters, Stephanie A. Wuenstel and her husband Chuck Wazenegger of Bethel Park and Melanie A. Maxwell and her husband Kevin of Pleasant Hills; proud Pap Pap Stash of Ewan Edward and Anna Marie Maxwell; cherished Norweigan Elkhounds.
Ed proudly served his country in the Air Force for 11 years. He was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry – unemployment compensation. He was a man of many talents who enjoyed art and showing his dogs.
Ed’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 6-8 p.m., Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. in the Stephen E. Slater Funeral Home, State Rte 51 (Large). His funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church 199 Old Clairton Road, Pleasant Hills, PA with Rev. Mark Whitsel, Rev. Carolyn Cranston and Chris Thompson officiating.. (Everyone please meet at the Church)
