Dorothy “Duddy” Little Sayre, age 83, of Perryopolis passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Country Care Manor, Fayette City. She was born in Perryopolis on August 12, 1936, a daughter of Edgar L. and Dorothy Cartwright Little.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Jeannie.
Duddy was a lifelong resident of Perryopolis and was a member of the Perryopolis United Methodist Church. She was a fabulous singer, organ and piano player. Duddy was very loving and caring and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John William “Bill” Sayre; sister in law, Carolyn Black; numerous nieces and nephews; 5 very special people in her life: Tryllis Galley, Karen Ohler, Amy Stillwagon; Kevin and Gloria Kosport.
Duddy’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA where her funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday with Pastor Derrick Platt, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA.
