Dorothy R. (Richardson) Green

Dorothy (Richardson) Green, age 89, of Perryopolis, PA, passed away on January 23, 2017, at her home peacefully with her family by her side. 

She was born in Dravosburg, PA on February 12, 1927, the daughter of John Elmer and Sarah C. (Christopher) Richardson.

She was a member of Perryopolis Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Golden Agers, and was a Perryopolis Senior Center Volunteer.  She was a secretary for the Perryopolis Magisterial District Court for 26 years.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Mark (Joanne) Green of North Huntingdon, Lori (Jeff) Peart of Belle Vernon, and Matthew (Diana) Green of Merrittstown.  She was also the proud grandmother of Aubrey, Kylen, Wade, Bram, Jeremy and Megan. She was preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor Winkelvoss and brother, Glenn Richardson.

Dorothy’s family will receive friends on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA.  Additional visitation will take place on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. the hour of service.  Interment will be in Richland Cemetery, Dravosburg, PA.
