David “Katman” George Katrinak, age 78, of Perryopolis, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026. He was preceded in death by brothers: Richard, in infancy, Frederick; parents, John Katrinak and Mary Litvin Katrinak, brothers-in-law: Jim Marchelletta and George Ryan and sister-in-law Betty Jean Katrinak. He is survived by daughter, Carrie Katrinak-Reynolds of Centerville, Ohio; grandchildren: Allison Reynolds, C J Reynolds; brothers: Tom of Martinsburg West Virginia, Robert of Omaha, Nebraska, Daniel of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; sisters and spouses: Evelyn and David Dahl of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Marion Marchelletta and Leo Sarrazine of Garrett, Indiana and Jane Ryan of Connellsville, Pennsylvania; ex-wife, Judy Gross; best friends and caregivers, Rick and Deb Molnar; several nieces and nephews.
He retired from the glass manufacturing industry as a supervisor at Anchor Hocking Glass. He was very proud of his service in the US Navy and also proud that he and his 4 brothers served in 4 branches during the conflict, all being members of various veterans' organizations. He was a member of the Sons & Daughters of Italy, V.F.W. and a former offier of the Sokals.
Friends will be received from 11:00 A.M. – 1 P.M. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, where Prayers of Transfer will be said at 1:15 P.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:30 P.M. at St John the Baptist R. C. Church, Perryopolis, PA. Interment to follow at St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA with Full Military Rites and Honors being accorded by the Goldstar V. F. W. Post 7023 and American Legion Post 752.
Members of the Sokols will have a reading in the funeral home at noon.
