Charles Edward Keffer, Jr., age 78 of Mount Braddock PA, North Union Township, passed away at Mount Macrina with his loving family by his side. He was born in Mount Pleasant, a son of Charles Edward Keffer Sr, and Anna Delores Lyons Keffer. In addition, to his parents, he was preceeded in his death by his son John Michael Keffer (7/12/24).
Charles is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Ann Sztroin Keffer; daughter, Barbara Anthony and husband Scott of Indiana; son, David E Keffer and wife Jamie of Mount Braddock; grandchildren: Jacob Keffer and girlfriend Hailey Lynn, Ryan Keffer, Rayna Keffer; sister, Karen Keffer; brother, Dennis Keffer; several nieces and nephews.
Charles was a Veteran of the Vietnam Era and served in the United States Army from February 9, 1968, to September 30, 1970. Charles was a Veteran who was stationed in Korea from 1969-1970 where he served as an Armorant for the 239th Aviation Company Assault Helicopter Division. Charles worked for the US steel Clairton Coke Works for 10 years, Bubnash Tire and Service in Perryopolis for many years, most recently in security. He loved to hunt and fish, and anyone close to him knows he loved to play cards.
Charles will receive friends on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 2-7pm at the Blair Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA, where a funeral service will be held at 7pm with Father Oleh Seremchuk as celebrant.
