Walter "Lefty" Michael Machesky

Walter “Lefty” Michael Machesky, age 90 of Perryopolis, PA passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 in Mt Macrina Manor, Uniontown, PA with his loving family by his side. He was born on June 4, 1928 in Searights, PA. a son of late Joseph Machesky and Bertha Bozek Machesky.

Walter served his country in the U. S. Air Force. He was a retired steel worker from U. S. Steel Christy Park Works. He enjoyed spending time with his family and took much pride in maintaining his home and automobile.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Rose A. Morgan Machesky, three daughters: Donna Hudock and her husband Michael of Uniontown, Darlene Vargo Morrison and her husband Joseph of Perryopolis, Roseann Harger of Vanderbilt; grandchildren, whom he dearly loved: Michael Vargo of Perryopolis, Martin Harger Jr and his wife Amy of Perryopolis, Mike Hudock of Uniontown, Andi-Jo Vargo of Indiana, PA, Amber Lynn Harger of Lansing MI, Holly Eicher and husband Sean of Uniontown, Seth Vargo and his wife Kimmy of Perryopolis; great grandchildren whom he adored: Alyssa Bella, Sage Harger, Walter Bella, Chloe Harger, Ryker Maglione, Presley Vargo; sister, Louise Petish and her husband John of Grafton, OH; brother in law, Harmon Morgan of Connellsville; several nieces and nephews.

Walter’s family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA where Prayers of Transfer will be said at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, PA with Msrg. Roger A. Statnick, as Celebrant.
