Pearl N. (Townsend) Whetzel

Pearl N. (Townsend) Whetzel, age 91 formerly of Perryopolis, PA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 2, 2017. She was born on December 25, 1925 in Edenborn, PA, a daughter of Charles Oliver Townsend and Lizzie Belle Towsend.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Leroy Whetzel Sr.; son, Leroy Whetzel, Jr.; all her siblings;  

She is survived by her three sons: Roger Whetzel and his wife, Josie of Greensburg, James Whetzel of West Warwick, RI and Kevin Whetzel and his wife, Sandy of Fayette City; five wonderful grandchildren: Jeremy and Suzanne of Fayette City, Matthew, Kristopher and Kelly of Rhode Island; two cherished great grandchildren, C. J. & Bree.

Pearl’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 and 2-6 p.m. on Sunday March 5, 2017 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Reverend Melissa Snyder, officiating. Interment to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA.
