Norma Allison Obituary

Norma  (Sechrist) Allison, RN age 91 of Perryopolis passed away on December 11, 2018, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born on January 8, 1927 in Perryopolis, a daughter of Harry and Sylvia Hixenbaugh Sechrist.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Milton T. Allison, Jr.; siblings:  Hope Baker, H. Craig Sechrist, Lois Carson, Dorothy Bilohlavek; brother in law, Tom Baker; sister in law, Lois Jean Sechrist.

Norma graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Uniontown School of Nursing in 1948 and worked for several area hospitals. She was a life long member of the Perryopolis United Methodist Church. She was a member of: Israfil Class, Daughters of the American Colonist, Golden Agers. Perryopolis Senior Center, Fine Arts Club, Card Club, Red Hats and a fifty year member of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her children: Douglas Allison and fiancée Tammy Henderson of Beaver, Leslie Chalfant and her husband Larry of Perryopolis, Jeffrey Allison and his wife Lorraine of Burke, VA; grandchildren:

Derek (Melissa) Chalfant, Clayton (Winona) Chalfant, Claire (Christian) Miedel, Jared Allison, Mary Allison, Katie Allison, and William Allison; great grandchildren: Lyla Chalfant, Hannah Miedel, Isabel   Miedel, Rebekah Miedel, Jake Hoffman, Isaac Hoffman, Ethan Hoffman and Evan Hoffman; brothers in law: Clarence Carson and John Bilohlavek;  numerous nieces and nephews.

Norma’s family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday from 9-10 a.m., the hour of her prayer service. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Perryopolis United Methodist Church, 203 Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA. with pastors Derek Platt and  Rose Granato, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA.

Memorial contribution’s are welcome to be made to the Perryopolis United Methodist Church or the Jumonville Training Center.
