Louise Marie (Mitchell) Giovannelli

Louise Marie (DiVirgillio) Giovannelli, age 94 of Perryopolis, PA passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in the Havencrest Nursing Center, Monongahela, PA with her loving family by her side. She was born in Delmont, Pa on May 14, 1923, a daughter of Michael DiVirgilio and Edith Mitchell DiVirgilio.

Louise was a member of St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Perryopolis.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Gioovannelli; daughter in law, Jayne Giovannelli; siblings: Henry DiVirgilio, Fred DiVirgilio, Albert DiVirgilio, Edmond DeVirgilio, James DiVirgilio and Loretta (Tootsie) DiVirgilio Gabor.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Vincent Giovannelli and his wife Marcia, Raymond Giovannelli, all of Perryopolis, PA. Grandchildren: Lisa Giovannelli of Freedom, PA, Angela Schweiger and her husband Craig of Berlin, MD, Jess Giovannelli of Perryopolis and Rachael Hoffman and her husband Steve of Fayette City; great grandchildren: Joshua Hoffman, Madison Hoffman and Zackary Tidabock; brothers: Russel DiVirgilio of West Mifflin and Dino DiVirgilio and his wife Norma of Perryopolis. 

Louise’s family will receive friends on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in The Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA where Parting Prayers will be said at 10 a.m. Monday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Anthony W. Ditto as Celebrant.  Interment will follow in St John the Baptist Church Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA.

A Rosary Service will be recited on Sunday afternoon, August 13, 2017 in the funeral home at 3 p.m.
