Louis S. Chubboy

Louis “Preach” S. Chubboy. Age 82, of Perryopolis died on June 19, 2019 at Uniontown Hospital.  He was born on May 26, 1937 in Perryopolis, a son of Gilbert and Elizabeth Kerekes Chubboy.

Louis was a retired heavy equipment operator with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66. He was also a farmer who enjoyed making hay and raising black angus cattle. He loved listening to old Johnny Cash songs and reminiscing about the “good old days”.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings: Gilbert Chubboy, George M. Chubboy, Margaret Szakal, Helen Kossol; brothers in law: Clyde Kimmel, John B. McMillen, John Szakal, Edward Adamerovich, Robert S. Toth; nephews: John David Szakal and Bryon Martini, Jr..

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters: Bertha Kimmel of Mt. Pleasant, Ruth McMillen of Perryopolis, Shirley Adamerovich of Latrobe, Sarah J. Toth of Perryopolis; sister in law, Shirley Chubboy of Belle Vernon, brother in law, Charles Kossol of Reno, Nevada; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, .

Preach’s family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear independence Street, Perryopolis, PA where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Jane Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA.

The family would like to thank Rhonda Martini, Rochelle Toth, Kelli Lash, Nicole, Kendall and Renae for taking such good care of Preach for the last 5 years since he had his stroke, also all the staff @ Fresenius Kidney Care.
