Lillie (Yates) Margie

Lillie “Yates” Margie, age 84 of Fayette City, PA passed away on Monday morning, July 30, 2018 at her home with her loving family by her side.  She was born on January 17, 1934 in Fayette City a daughter of John and Anabell Kepple Yates.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Richard Andrew Margie; brothers: John W. Yates and Richard E. Yates.

Lillie was a member of the Fayette City Alliance Church, Fayette City, PA. where see was a very active member. She will be sadly missed by all.

Lillie is survived by her three sons: Richie R.  Margie and his wife, Carla of Perryopolis, Roger L. Margie and his wife Renee of Washington, Scott E. Margie of West Newton, PA; three granddaughters: Jennifer Denitti of Perryopolis, Nina M. Price and her husband Kevin of Springhouse, PA, Leigh Ann Smith and her husband Bill of Newell, PA; four great grandchildren: Lucas Denitti, Madison and Cameron Price, Charlotte Smith; brother: Jim Yates and his wife Frances of Columbia SC; sisters: Janet Shetterly of Rostraver and Nancy Ambrose of Fayette City; sister in law, Sally Yates of Fayette City.    

Lillie’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018 with Rev. Mark Clark, officiating.

Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018 at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
