A graduate of Frazier High School and Fairmont State University, Leonard was a star athlete in a variety of sports. He was a beloved teacher at Frazier for over 35 years and with his father and family, operated the local farm stand on Rt. 51 in Perryopolis for more than 30 years. He loved sharing his home-grown tomatoes and other fruits and vegetables with the community at the farm stand and local flea markets. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Marlene (Wallner) Swiantek; son, Leonard; two daughters: Lisa Swiantek and Leslie Warner and her husband Ryan; sister, Shirley Elnikar; two grandchildren: Paloma and Ben; nieces: Ann Johnson and Renee Logue; nephew, Eddie Elnikar.

He joins his best friend Lucky, a black Labrador retriever, in heaven. Leonard will be sadly missed by his friends and family and all who knew him.
