John Lindy Valari

John Lindy Valari, age 89 of Connellsville, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at his home. He was born on March 11, 1928 in Perryopolis a son of Steve Valari and Francis Cordero Valari.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Jones Valari; siblings: Marie Deoto, Lucy Moskal, Nick Valari, Joe Valari and Ruby Kramer.

John is survived by his sister, Julia Valari of Las Vegas, Nevada, Steve Valari of Perryopolis and special friend Wanda Lint.

He retired from U S Steel, Clairton Works. John proudly served his country in the U S Army during the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Uniontown.

John’s family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2017 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA where his funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017 with Pastor Bryan Kelly, officiating.  Interment to follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Connellsville, PA, where full military rites and honors will be accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7023 and the American Legion Post 752.
