John Clarence Boone

John Clarence Boone. Age 82 of Perryopolis, PA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 28, 2017. He was born in Perryopolis, on November 6, 1934 a son of William and Isabelle Ferris Boone.

In addition to his parents he preceded in death by his siblings: Isabelle, Elizabeth, Charles and George.

John was a member of St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church of Perryopolis where he was an usher for many years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked as a grocery clerk for Karolcik Market and Bowling Alley, Kalman Clover Farm Store and Fox Grocery. John was the Democratic Committeeman in the Borough of Perryopolis for years. Politics became part of his life.

John is survived by his siblings: Sarah Uhall of Perryopolis, Florence Malaspina of Fayette City, Goldie Mislo of Monessen, James Boone and his wife Dolores of Brownsville, Shirley Mae Boone Farrow of Pittsburgh; nieces and nephews; grand nieces and grand nephews; special life long friend, Anna Mae Warnick of Perryopolis.

John’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home,  , where Prayers of Transfer will be said Wednesday, May 3, 2017,  at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, PA. with Father Anthony Ditto as celebrant. Interment will follow in St John the Baptist Cemetery, Perryopolis.

The Rosary will be Prayed in the funeral home at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

John’s family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the doctors and nursing staff at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
