Janet Ruth (Duff) Arison

Janet Ruth Duff Arison, age 85, of Franklin Twp., Vanderbilt, PA went to be with her Lord on Friday, May 24, 2019 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 5, 1934 in Waltersburg, a daughter of Donald Duff and Margaret Moon Duff Mosier.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bob” R. Arison; sons: Mark Arison and James Arison; brother, Howard Duff.

Janet was a life long member of the Flatwoods Baptist Church, Vanderbilt, PA where she was a Deaconess, Mission Secretary, Sunday School Teacher, sang in the choir and was a regular at all church functions, active with CEF (children’s ministry). She loved her flowers, gardening and especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Patty Huffine and her husband, Bill of Waltersburg, Jeff Arison and his wife, Kim of Chestnut Ridge, PA, Peggy Huffine and her husband Ross of South Carolina; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; daughter in law, Helen Arison of New Salem; sister, Dorothy Ann Howser and her husband Vaughn of Smock; many nieces and nephews.

Janet’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Flatwoods Baptist Church, 104 Griffin Road, Vanderbilt, PA with Pastor Darrel Evans, officiating (EVERYONE MEET AT THE CHURCH).  Interment will follow in Bowman Flatwoods Cemetery, Vanderbilt, PA.
