Edward J. Rayman, age 90 of Perryopolis, PA passed away on Sunday August 5, 2018. He was born on June 3, 1928 in Uniontown, PA a son of Thomas Rayman and Anna Pavrozniak Rayman.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Elizabeth Rayman; a son, Edward J. Rayman Jr. Edward was the last living of his five siblings.
Edward proudly served his country in the U S Army. He was a very active member of St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Perryopolis where he served as a member of the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus and as an usher. He was also an avid fisherman with a passionate love of baseball, especially watching his grandson play.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Rayman-Keilbach and her husband, Francis of Perryopolis; grandson, Dylan Keilbach; numerous nieces and nephews.
Edward’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA where Prayers of Transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist R. C. Church in Perryopolis with Father Bob Lubic as Celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery Perryopolis, PA.
Members of St. John the Baptist R. C. Church will recite the Rosary at 3 p.m., the American Legion and V.F.W. will conduct a service at 6:30 p.m. and the Knights of Columbus with conduct a service at 7 p.m. All of the above services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in the Funeral Home.
