Clarence C. Carson of Perryopolis passed away peacefully at home on January 14, 2024. He was born July 5, 1923, a son of the late Willliam W. and Maude Hall Carson.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Lois Sechrist Carson; siblings: Ruth, Allen, Yva and Craig.
He will greatly be missed by his 4 children: Karen (Richard) Mimnaugh, Colleen Friedline, Chris (Mary Lee O’Brien) Carson, Janelle (Brad) Bigam; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Carson served his country as a staff sergeant in the US Army Air Corp in World War II. He was a ball turret gunner in a B-24 in the Pacific Theater. He worked for the U.S. Postal as a rural mail carrier in Perryopolis. His mail patrons could set their clocks by his efficient delivery time.
He was a faithful member of he Perryopolis Methodist Church and Cherry Tree Alliance Church in Uniontown.
The family would like to thank Nancy Wilson, Debbie Gregor, and Uniontown WVU Hospice for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be and to the Perryopolis Methodist Church or Cherry Tree Alliance Church. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Clarence’s professional funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Blair Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Perryopolis, Pa.
