Velma E. (Janos) Litvin

Velma E. Litvin of Perryopolis, PA went to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 20, 2016 in the Uniontown Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born November 13, 1930, the daughter of Mary Janos.

In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-four years, Mike Litvin and her son Michael T. (Tom) Litvin.

She is survived by her loving children, Carlin Gibson of Greensburg, Tim Litvin and his wife Ruthanne of Star Junction, Ed Litvin of Perryopolis, Bernie Litvin of Perryopolis; grandchildren: Christine Davis and her husband Jerry of Greensburg, Tim Litvin II of Star Junction and Morissa Litvin of Star Junction; great grandchildren, Jerry Davis and Cloe Davis.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church of Perryopolis where she was active with the Alter Society. She worked at Montgomery Ward in the Laurel Mall for twenty years and Gene & Boots Candy in the Uniontown Mall. She also volunteered at the Uniontown Hospital.

Velma was a good caring loving mother and grandmother who loved her children dearly. She was a good person who loved helping other people.

Velma also leaves behind her buddy, her cat “Sack of Bones”.

Velma’s family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2016 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA where a Prayers of Transfer will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 25 in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Anthony Ditto as Celebrant. Interment will follow in St John the Baptist Cemetery, Perryopolis.

 A Rosary Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday afternoon at 3 p.m.
