Sarah Jane Uhall

September 3, 1927 ~ November 21, 2017 (age 90) 90 Years Old


Sarah. J. Boone Uhall, age 90, of Perryopolis went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. She was born on September 3, 1927 in Perryopolis a daughter of William and Isabelle Ferris Boone.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Uhall; son, John Michael Uhall; siblings: Isabelle, Elizabeth, Charles, George and John.

Sarah was a member of St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church of Perryopolis where she was a member of the Altar Society.  She was a dispatcher for the Perry Twp., V.F.C. and ambulance service. She also worked at Karolcik grocery store. Sarah enjoyed playing bingo and traveling with the Perryopolis Travelers Club. She was also a member of the Perryopolis Senior Citizens.

Sarah is survived by her daughter, Margaret Ann Clay and her husband John E. of Perryopolis; grandsons: John A. Clay and his wife Jillian, Ryan C. Clay; great grandchildren: Hunter and Mackenzie Clay; all of Perryopolis.

Her siblings: Florence Malaspina of Fayette City, Goldie Mislo of Monessen, James Boone and his wife Dolores of Brownsville, Shirley Mae Boone Farrow of Pittsburgh; nieces and nephews; grand nieces and grand nephews.

Sarah’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday November 24, 2017 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA 15473 where Prayers of Transfer will be said Saturday at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, PA with Father Anthony W. Ditto as Celebrant. Interment will follow in St Nicholas Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA.

The Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 3 p.m. on Friday.
