Matthew Denitti, Sr.

Matthew Denitti, Jr. age 79 of Perryopolis, PA passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016, in the Uniontown Hospital.  He was born January 10, 1937, in Smithton, PA, a son of Matteo and Antonio Abatantuono Denitti, Sr.

He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church.  He was the Past Master of Tri County Lodge #252, Donora, and a member of the Sons of Italy of Perryopolis, PA.

Matthew, in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by the following siblings: Theresa Torkish, Phyllis Fall, Gloria Labrasca, Laura Denitti, Peter Denitti, Paul Denitti, Michael Denitti and Lewis Denitti.

Matthew is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie (Scanlon) Denitti, and his children, a son, Matthew Denitti, III and his wife, Rose of Perryopolis, a daughter, Dana Boyd and husband, Harry of Vanderbilt, PA, four sisters: Josephine Baluch and husband, Ralph of Perryopolis, Marie “Jane” Hazy and husband, Mike of Belle Vernon, Debra Wisyanski of Monessen and Joanne Zynosky and husband, Bob of Monessen, the following Grandchildren: Tim Denitti, Phillip Denitti and friend, Angela Morgavo, Cole Denitti, Harrison Boyd, Meggie Boyd, Great Grandchildren: Lucas and Nicholas Denitti,  Sister-in-laws; Linda Calcek of Belle Vernon, Marilyn Scanlon of Charleroi, Ida Denitti of Smithton and many nieces and nephews..

In honoring Matthew’s wishes there will be no viewing.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 9th at 11:00 AM in the Fairview United Methodist Church, Laureldale Road, Grindstone, PA.   Pastor Vann Walchock will be officiating.
