Matilda "Tillie" (Shamdosky) Havadich

Matilda “Tillie” Shamdosky Havadich age 87 of Belle Vernon, PA passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 in Mon Valley Hospital, Monongahela, PA with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 21, 1928, daughter of Michael Shamdosky and Elizabeth Kovaly Shamdosky.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A Havadich, three brothers and one sister.

Tillie was a member of the Church of St. Anne, Rostraver and the Alter Society at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis.

Tillie is survived by two daughters: Beth Ann Berkebile and her husband Greg, Rebecca Sladack and her husband David; son, Thomas A Havadich and his wife Joy, all of Belle Vernon; five grandchildren: Jennifer Smoak and her husband Bradley of Chicago, Sergey Berkebile of Key Largo FL, Katya Berkebile of N. Charleroi and her fiancée Anton Hritz of Belle Vernon, Adam Berkebile of Belle Vernon, Isabella Sladack of Belle Vernon; one great granddaughter, Lily Ann Smoak.

Tillie’s family will receive friends 2-8 pm on Monday, July 11, 2016 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA, where Prayers of Transfer will be said at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the Church of St. Anne, 1870 Rostraver Road, Belle Vernon, PA with the Rev. Father James Bump, officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, PA.A Prayer Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 3:00 p.m.
