Laurissa Rochelle Ellis

Laurissa “Sissy” Rochelle Ellis, age 23 of Freeport, PA formerly of Perryopolis passed away, suddenly, Friday, October 14, 2016 in her home. She was born in Pittsburgh, On October 19, 1992 a daughter of Joseph D. Ellis and Lori Baluch Ellis.

Sissy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Archie Ellis and Betty Agustus; infant brother, Jared Ellis; infant cousin, Justin Ellis.

Sissy was a 2011 graduate of Frazier High School where she excelled in sports including volleyball, basketball, track and soft ball. She was a member of the 2010 W.P.I.A.L. Championship Volleyball Team.

She is survived by her mother, Lori Ellis and her companion, David Martin of Freeport; father, Joseph D. Ellis and his wife, Rachael of Texas; brothers: Daniel Ellis and his fiancée Niki of Freeport, Aaron Ellis of  Texas; Maternal grandparents, Ralph and Josephine Baluch of Perryopolis; aunts: Rochelle Baluch  and Pam Johnson both of Perryopolis, Stephanie Ellis of KY; uncles: Danny Ellis and his wife Isabelle of TX, Arthur Ellis and his wife Sidney of Mt. Olivet, KY; nephew: Gunner “A. J.” Ellis of Freeport; cousins Jared Ellis and Kyle Ellis of TX.

Sissy’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA where her funeral service will take place at 8 p.m.
