Joy D. (Morris) Bryner

Joy D. (Morris) Bryner age 81, of Belle Vernon passed away Friday morning, October 16, 2015 in Mon Valley Care Center. She was born on November 2, 1933 in Star Junction, a daughter of James Oscar Morris and Sophia Viola (Williams) Morris. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer C. Bryner; daughter, Kathy Bryner; brother, James Homer Morris; sisters: June Sember, Delores Stephens, Fannie Faye Vairus, and Terry Vestrate. Joy is survived by her children: Cindy Saxon and her husband Thomas of Connellsville, Tammy Arison and her companion Greg Ferrence of Belle Vernon and Dean Bryner and his wife Gail of Virgin Run; nine grandchildren: Leeann, Erin, Doug, Matthew, Stephanie, Bryan, Jessica, Alecia and Jeremy; eight great grandchildren; brother, Charles Morris of Waltersburg; sisters: Stella Shosky and Midge Patterson of Belle Vernon, Carol Sethman of Webster; and many nieces and nephews. Joy was a lifelong member of the Star Junction Baptist Church. Joy’s family will receive friends on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in The Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, Inc., Rear 305 Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA. Additional visitation will take place on Monday in The Star Junction Baptist Church from 10 -11 am, the hour of her Funeral Service with Pastor Don Bowser, officiating (Everyone meet at the church). Interment to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
