Evelyn (Truxel) Stauffer

Evelyn Stauffer, age 93 of Layton passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at her home. She was born on August 31, 1923 in Perryopolis a daughter of Howard Truxel and Jennie McClanahan Truxal.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband of 48 years, Jackie Ray Stauffer who passed away on November 13, 2016.

Siblings: Albert Truxal, Nellie Farrow, Loretta Jodon, Florabelle Failoni, infant sister.

She is survived by her loving sister in law and caretaker Bonnie Stauffer and her husband Don of Layton; special niece Betty Yenchick of Layton; several nieces and nephews 

Evelyn’s family will receive friends on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where her funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Friday with Rev. Don Bowser and Mike Vindivich, officiating. Interment to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA.
