Edgar Churby

Edgar Churby, age 91 of Perryopolis, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016. He was born on July 7, 1925 in LeMont Furnace, a son of Michael Churby and Nellie Mathews Churby.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, James Edgar Churby; four brothers; two sisters.

Edgar is survived by his wife of 68 years Jeannine Essington Churby;

Daughter, Wendy Jean Curtis and her husband Robert of Eustus, FL; son, David Churby and his wife Diane of Fayette City; grandchildren: Mark, Beth, Kim, Alia, Dylan, Page and Billy; twelve great grandchildren; brother, Thomas Churby and his wife Nancy of Smithfield; sister, Dolly Zerby of Ohio; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Edgar’s family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2016 in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA. His funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 in the Perryopolis Baptist Church, 3378 Pittsburgh Road, Perryopolis, PA. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
