Donald "Don" Allen Rock

Donald Allen Rock, age 85 of Star Junction, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, in Hillside Manor, Uniontown, PA.   He was born on March 26, 1932 in Layton, PA, the son of Charles Henry “Pete” and Anna Belle (Sheppard) Rock.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dolores A. “Dee” Muccioli Rock, in 2003, and brothers: Infant William James Rock and Harry Edward Rock.

Don worked as a crane operator for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel.  He was a proud veteran serving in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Don was a wonderful loving and caring father and grandfather.

Don is survived by three sons and daughters in law: Mark Rock and wife, Betty Ann, Michael Rock and wife, Tami, David Rock and wife, Sherry all of Perryopolis; grandchildren: Mark Jared Rock and his fiancée Leanne Lint, Matthew Rock and his fiancée Sarah Turner, Eric Rock, Tyler Rock, David Wyatt Rock, Peyton Rock and Gage Rock; three great grandchildren: Hayden, Matthew, Jason; one sister, Beryl Morgan of Layton, PA and numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to James Stambaugh and staff of Hillside Manor for the wonderful care Don received.

There will be a private family viewing from 9-11 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 in Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. with Bryce King officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA, where full military rites and honors will be accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7023 and the American Legion Post 752.
