Charles H. "Butch" Zwolenik

Charles H. “Butch” Zwolenik, Jr.  age 74 of Smock formerly of Flatwoods passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Mt. Pleasant on September 26, 1941 a son of Charles H. Zwolenik, Sr and Melzia Adams Zwolenik.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, John Zwolenik; sister, Jacquelyn Zwolenik.

Butch worked at Tube City Iron and Metal, West Mifflin for forty one years. He was the operator and owner of Butch’s Auction Barn in Flatwoods. Butch had pulling ponies and achieved a State of West Virginia Championship one year and Pennsylvania State Champion two years in a row. He was also an avid nascar fan.

Butch is survived his wife of fifty seven years, Nancy M. Carter Zwolenik; Children: Wanita Zwolenik and her fiancée Mike Berry of Virgin Run, Tina Gaborko and her husband Alan of Smock, grandchildren: Amanda Gaborko and Alan Gaborko of Smock; sisters: Stella Stewart and her companion Mike Valentine of Vanderbilt, Sharon Hall and her friend Goose of  Flatwoods, Cindy Brozik and husband Mark of Fredericktown; brother Jack Zwolenik and his wife Janice of Flatwoods; many nieces and nephews.

Butch’s family will receive friends on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA where his funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wedenesday, June 29, 2016 with Rev. David Hixson, officiating. Interment will follow in Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery.
