Benjamin J. Olinzock

Benjamin J. Olinzock, Jr, age 81 of Perryopolis, PA passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017.  He was born on October 6, 1935, in Star Junction, PA, a son of the late Benjamin J. Olinzock, Sr. and Mary Aquilina Olinzock.

Ben is survived by his wife, Marlene A. (Boniella) Olinzock; children: Maureen Olinzock and husband, Michael Wolfe of Pittsburgh, PA., Marla Olinzock and husband Darren Kapinus of Newell, PA, Kimberly Olinzock, Georgiana Olinzock and Charles Olinzock and wife Jeanette all of Perryopolis, PA; grandchildren: Avery Matthews, Jordan, Memrie and Mason; a sister, Antoinette Dorazio and husband, Donald of Grindstone; brother, Anthony Olinzock of Starkville Mississippi.

Ben proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked at US Steel Clairton Works and as a substitute teacher at Perry Elementary School.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandson, Avery.  In his retirement he enjoyed traveling and going to the casinos with his brother and sister.

Benjamin’s family will receive friends on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA.  Prayers of Transfer will be said on Monday, May 8 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, PA at 10:30 a.m. with Father Anthony Ditto, Celebrant.  Interment will be private.

Full military rites will be accorded by the VFW Goldstar Post 7025, Perryopolis, PA.
