Andrew "Rune" Rabatin, Jr.

Andrew “Rune” “Uncle Rune” Stephen Rabatin, Jr., 65 of Perryopolis, PA passed away Monday, January 6, 2017.

He was born in Mt. Pleasant, PA on November 17, 1951 a son of Andrew Stephen Sr. and Katheryn (Petrosky) Rabatin.

Andrew is survived by his Fiancée’ Rhoda Ritchey; two children: Megan Hornsby and her husband Roger of Fayette City,  Aaron Rabatin of Hanover, PA; two grandchildren: Levi Hornsby and Skylar Hornsby; two sisters: Dolores Johnson of Belle Vernon, and Marion Timko of Perryopolis;  four brothers: Leonard Rabatin (Linda) of Williamstown, WV, John Rabatin (Sandy) of Buckeye, AZ, David Rabatin (Nancy) Perryopolis, Daniel (Ira) also of Perryopolis, PA; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was a member of the Star Junction Rod and Gun Club, Sons of Italy, Sokol Slovak Club, and the Moose of Perryopolis, PA.   He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing guitar, but most of all his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

Rune’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday February 9, 2017, 2-4 & 6 -8 p.m. in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 10 in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, PA at 10:30 AM.  EVERYONE WHO WISHES TO ATTEND PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.   The Reverend Father Anthony Ditto will   be the celebrant.  Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Perryopolis, PA.
